Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
You will either be picked from airport or from your hotel in Kampala and drive southwestwards of the country to Bwindi National park, with stopover for lunch and relaxation in Mbarara town. Proceed with the scenic drive to Kabale town, which is commonly known as the “Switzerland of Africa“. Later drive to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Dinner and overnight at: Silverback Lodge (Luxury)/Buhoma Community Bandas (Budget)/Lake Kitandala Lodge (Mid-Range).
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking and Community Walks
Have morning breakfast and assemble at the park headquarters for briefing from the park rangers about the do’s and don’ts while tracking gorillas. Proceed for the memorable exercise in the forest, an activity that may take 1-9 hours depending on the movement of these human cousins. Meet and stay with them for a maximum of one hour, then go to the park headquarters to pick your gorilla tracking certificates and then to your Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you may go for community walks in the nearby Batwa community, where you will be entertained and given tales of their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel (Day 1).
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala
Early morning breakfast, you will start your journey back to Kampala with stopovers for photography in some of the areas with tourist’s attractions like Uganda equator where two hemispheres meet, Mpambire for drum makers. You will arrive Kampala late in the afternoon, and you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and overnight or to the airport for your departure.
